| Besides a love for nature and for dogs, Leo and Kim also share a passion for landscaping and gardening. We bought our house in East Portland Oregon in 2004, and began designing a landscape plan for the acre of raw land the new house sat on. |  |

Part of our shared vision was to create a "sanctuary", not only for ourselves, but our families, friends, and of course the dogs! The fist step was to have the large ponds and waterfalls built, and then to plant a large selection of trees both common, and not so common. |
| We created a mixed forest at the back of the property, a large vegetable garden, an edible fruit garden, a flower meadow, and lots of grass for the dogs. |
